Process | Designing Brands

A lot goes into developing and designing brands. Here’s a peek into Studio Start’s Branding Essentials process:


we begin the design process with discovering your business, your goals and your vision through your brand discovery workbook and pinterest board. once your workbook is complete, we will go through your workbook answers and pinterest board to confirm the creative direction and elements for your project, as well as answer any questions.


when we’ve established your creative direction, we will research and create a design strategy that includes brand analysis, moodboard and colour palette that will align with your goals and vision of your business. the brand strategy, along with your workbook answers and visual inspiration, will form the groundwork of your brand identity concepts.


after you approve your brand strategy, we will craft and present three brand identity concepts which include primary, variation and submark logos, font and colour palette, and other design elements such as patterns, illustrations and icons (if required). after you’ve selected a brand identity concept, we will refine your chosen design to perfection.


once your chosen and refined brand identity concept is approved and final payment made, we will provide you with a brand toolkit that includes logo, font, imagery and element files, brand style guide and social media graphics via dropbox to get you ready to launch your new brand look and use at every stage of your business for years to come.
